Jurassic Coast Weekend Trek - 23rd – 25th April 2010

Natural rock formation by the sea

The Jurassic Coast is England’s first Natural World Heritage Site, stretching 95 miles between Dorset and East Devon. It is one of the most geologically diverse coastlines in the world and is stunningly beautiful with an unparalleled range of natural features resulting in a constantly changing landscape with spectacular features.

Starting at Durlston head just outside Swanage this challenge sees you trekking a total of 23 miles over 2 days. Your route will follow the stunning South West Costal Path and the first day’s trek will take you past Anvil Point, Blackers Hole, Dancing Ledge, Winspit then round St Albans Head. From here you will head to your campsite for the evening at Kimmeridge Bay, home to an amazing rock pool. The second day’s trek continues along the coastal path towards Lulworth Cove and will finish at Durdle Door, a clear hole in the cliff formation made by the sea.

Your fundraising target is just £550, this includes all accommodation, meals and camping equipment (apart from a sleeping bag and mat) as well as full trip support from leaders, drivers and cooks. From this £550 Rose Road will receive a minimum of £330 plus anything additional you may raise. Although this target may seem a bit daunting, don’t worry as we will be on hand to give you fundraising tips and support.
